Oroma Elewa Studios (OES) is a creative and executive production studio founded by Oroma Elewa, based in New York, responsible for some of the most culturally impactful work in art and culture. The studio produces original cultural projects across publishing, fashion, photography, film, exhibitions, and visual culture, leading projects from concept through execution, and overseeing creative direction, branding, production, distribution, partnerships, and multidisciplinary teams across the US, Europe, and Africa.
Studio projects include Pop’Africana, the first African fashion and art publication established in New York; Area Babes & Ashawo Superstars, an award-winning multidisciplinary art project exhibited internationally at Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Art Basel Paris, and Art Genève; and Crushed Guava Leaves, an original short story collection adopted into the MFA curriculum at Central Saint Martins, London and Dance and Performance Resources, Emily Carr University of Art & Design, Vancouver, BC.
Beyond original studio projects, Oroma Elewa also works as a creative director and consultant with brands and institutions, offering strategy, creative direction, ideation, development, and visual articulation across fashion, print, and experience-led projects, engaging at moments where visual clarity or refinement is required, where a strong creative lead is needed to guide a project or team, or where the goal is to shape distinctive visual worlds, build resonant, emotive aesthetics, and translate creative ideas into tangible, impactful forms.
